
Jonathan Jackel has practiced law in Silicon Valley, California since 1987. Before moving to California in 1986, he practiced law in Washington State, where he graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1981. He served as the prosecuting attorney for the City of Puyallup for two years. Mr. Jackel grew up in New Jersey, where he graduated from Rutgers University in 1977.
Jonathan is a wage and hour specialist. He has represented hundreds of individuals, businesses, non-profit corporations and employee associations in litigation, administrative proceedings and transactions. Issues range from contracts and employment to real estate, torts and business formation.
Jonathan believes in working hard and gets good results for his clients, both as a counselor and as an advocate. He knows that there is no substitute for thorough preparation, and his winning track record is the best evidence of the soundness of that approach.
Jonathan is a member of the California, Santa Clara County and Washington State Bar Associations. He has served on the Board of Directors and as a Vice-President for Temple Emanu-El and Jewish Family Services of Santa Clara County. He also served as co-chair of the Cardozo Society, the Jewish Federation’s affinity group for attorneys. Mr. Jackel is an active member of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce and the Silicon Valley Council for Nonprofits.
In his free time Jonathan enjoys volunteering for local community theatres such as the Tabard Theatre and Children’s Musical Theatre of San Jose. He also enjoys gardening, camping, biking, skiing, reading, movies and discussing current events, but most of all, the company of his family.
